How to use the online timer

Bread dough that needs an overnight prove often calls for 190 minutes in a cool spot, and a timer takes the guesswork out of when it's ready to shape. Set it once you've covered the bowl, check the dough near the end rather than constantly, and trust the number over how it looks late at night. Good bread rewards the kind of patience a clock keeps better than you do.

There's no setup beyond pressing Start, and the countdown handles the rest on its own from that point. Since it runs inside the browser, keep the tab open for the timer to keep an accurate count; you can switch to other tabs in the meantime, but closing this one out resets things. When the countdown hits zero, a sound plays so you're not stuck staring at the numbers.
